The communities where the Dutch settle are growing. Tres Arroyos in Argentina is growing; surrounding Holland in Michigan are villages with names like Zeeland, Overisel, and Borculo. All of them are home to Dutch emigrants. Often, their final destination on board the Holland America Line is listed as: Holland, MI. In Canada, the cities on the prairie are growing as well. In the town of Strathmore, where many of the Dutch who ended up in Alberta before the war settled, Dutch people continued to move even after World War II. Gene Struiksma and Elisabeth Hoogeleger talk about their emigration to Canada as children. They were not a couple then; they found each other in Canada. And they have been happily married for years.
